Homefield Athletic Performance Training exists to provide a professional feel to amateur sports in Kansas City so that everyone has the opportunity to optimize the champion within.

Philosophy

We provide professional training services for all levels of athletic performance and team up with our highly skilled team coaches, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers.

We are dedicated and committed to providing the best product for our athletes. We achieve this by pushing our athletes to the limit both physically and mentally, but NEVER will compromise scientific principles – no gimmicks. Homefield Athletic Performance believes in calibrating bodies and minds. We build tissue resiliency, promote pattern stability, express strength through force absorption and force transmission. we also emphasize movement literacy in three dimensions to optimize preparedness for sport. Our coaches are the guides for positive results in the lives of our athletes.

Our vitality program is designed to help you feel good, look good, and live long. Whether you are looking to tone up, lose weight, improve your golf game, get stronger or get in shape for an upcoming excursion, our elite coaches have you covered. Performance Coach BA Health Sciences/Exercise Science

Caleb Rivera grew up in Lee’s Summit, MO. He was a three-year letter winner and two-year captain for the Lee’s Summit West soccer team. Caleb continued playing soccer at MCC- Blue River. As a captain he led the trailblazers to the NJCAA regional title while receiving all region honors. Caleb then transferred to Greenville University where he received NCAA all-conference honors. After one year at Greenville University Caleb transferred to UMKC where he graduated with a degree in Health Sciences and Exercise Science. He also earned a Masters of Kinesiology at Avila University, in 2023.

Nik Jehle

Performance Coach Credentials

Nik earned a Bachelors in Exercise and Movement Science at Missouri State University and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. He has worked in Collegiate Strength and Conditioning at the D1 level, trained professional, collegiate, and high school athletes privately, and has worked with a broad range of general fitness clientele ranging from 6-8yrs old. Nik has been published for his work in Men’s Health August 2021 edition The Complete Guide to Men’s Workouts in his piece titled “The Get Pumped Guide”, Shape Magazine, and Barbend. Nik played collegiate football and has competed competitively in powerlifting both USAPL and USPA. He is now the Co-Director of Sports Performance here at Homefield.

Sam Cunningham

Performance Coach Credentials

Sam was born and raised in Olathe, Kansas. His love for sports started early in life, he grew up playing baseball, golf, and basketball. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas and attended the University of Kansas, where he graduated from with a B.S. in Exercise Science.
Upon graduation, Sam began coaching youth, amateur, and professional golfers, and would caddie occasionally on the Korn Ferry Tour. He then expanded into coaching other sports and general population clients as well, ranging in ages from 13 to 89.
Sam’s love of coaching comes from his mission to help people realize and reach their potential. When he’s not coaching, Sam loves to spend time with his family, play yard games and board games, and play golf.

Tyler Disney

Performance Coach Credentials

Tyler was born in Kansas City, MO. His love for people and sports quickly started to develop at Blue Valley High School where he played Football and Baseball. Tyler graduated with a 4.02 GPA and was a Captain in Football and Baseball. He was a key player in winning 2 state titles. Tyler went on to have a dynamic 4 years at Pittsburg State University where he graduated with a 3.5 GPA with his BS in Exercise Science.
In 2011, Tyler helped the Pittsburg State Gorillas win their fourth National Championship. He also earned all-conference and all-region accolades in his Junior year, as well as 2013 Mineral Waterbowl Defensive MVP. Tyler was a 2-year captain of the 2013 and 2014 football team.
In the classroom, Tyler assisted and studied clinical exercise, biomechanics, and strength & conditioning for the exercise science department at PSU. After graduating from PSU, Tyler came back to work full time as a trainer, coach, and Fitness Director for 6 years. He is now directing our Homefield Performance Training program.

FAQs

How much do I pay?

GPT is a subscription model based off 1x, 2x, 3x, or unlimited training sessions per week.

1x/week- $100/mo
2x/week- $175/mo
3x/week- $235/mo
Unlimited- $275/mo

What does my monthly training fee include?

Your desired training sessions per week (1,2,3, or unlimited). All Training is led by our educated, certified, and experienced coaches. You will be charged monthly until you cancel.

What is the drop-in rate?

$35 per session

Are training days and times flexible week to week?

We ask that you commit to specific days and times when you initially register. If you need to change your training day/time, or you cannot make it to your original day and time that day, please reach out to tdisney@homefieldkc.com

What days and times do you offer for training?

Training occurs 6 days per week (M-S)

JV (grades 4th- 8th)
M-Th – 4:20p and 5:20p
F – 420p
S – 920am

Varsity (grades 9th – 12th)
M – TH – 540p and 640p
F – 440p
S – 1020a

Do you offer training in the summer?

Yes. We will have at least one training slot for JV and Varsity in the morning and at least one training slot for JV and Varsity in the evening (times and dates are subject to change).

What is the difference between each training day?

M/T-Core Curriculum A Day- Linear Speed, Vertical and Rotational Power, and Strength
W/TH- Core Curriculum B Day Multidirectional speed, Horizontal and Rotational Power, and Strength
F- Force Friday-C Day (strength bias)
S- Speed Saturday- D Day (speed bias)

How many weeks does this training last?

Training runs 6 days per week, 12 months/ year (Holiday hours vary).

How long are these training sessions?

60 minutes

What is the age limit?

4th grade is the earliest we will take a JV athlete.

Does this training work for all sports?

Yes. We are experts in training athletes to become better athletes. Team sports are played in 360 degrees, and in three plans of motion. Our training system reflects this.

Where should my child go on training day?

All GPT participants will check-in at the front desk upon arriving and meet at the weight room entrance. The warm-up will start

How does billing work?

Each contract is recurring month to month. We will prorate depending on when you join. On the 5th of each month, you will be charged the full amount.

How do I cancel?

We have a 30 day cancellation policy. Please email tdisney@homefieldkc.com.
